Built from a firsthand connection to childcare
Earlyvillage started from a very personal place—five years of watching my mom run a day home, and everything that went into it behind the scenes.
For more than five years, I watched my mom run a day home. I saw the long days, the paperwork, the constant coordination, the responsibility of keeping families informed, and all the work that had to happen behind the scenes while she cared for children.
But I also saw what made the work so meaningful.
I watched children arrive shy and unsure, then gradually become more comfortable, expressive and joyful. I saw them learn new things, build relationships, and form a real bond with my mom.
That experience gave me a deep appreciation for the people who choose to care for and educate young children—and for how much responsibility they carry every day.
After more than 15 years building software, I asked myself a simple question: could I use those skills to make this work easier?
That question became Earlyvillage.
Running a childcare centre involves far more than caring for children. There's attendance to manage, staff to coordinate, families to keep informed, records to maintain, payments to track, and countless small responsibilities competing for attention throughout the day.
Too often, that work is spread across paper, spreadsheets, messages, and disconnected systems. We believe it can be simpler.
Earlyvillage is being built to bring the everyday work of running a childcare centre into one calm, dependable place—helping providers spend less time managing administration and more time supporting their children, families, and staff.
Childcare is deeply human. Technology should support that work, not get in the way of it.
That's why we want Earlyvillage to feel simple, thoughtful, and practical. Every feature should solve a real problem, reduce unnecessary work, and help providers feel more confident about what's happening in their centre.
We're still early, and we're building closely with childcare providers who understand these challenges firsthand.
Our goal is simple: help childcare providers spend less energy managing the work behind care, so they can spend more of it on the people who matter most.
